Sevilla saved by Palop , Shakhtar Donetsk 2 - 3 Sevilla

FC Sevilla was saved by a goal in the last seconds from goalkeeper Andrés Palop before going on to beat FC Shakhtar Donetsk 3-2.

The Spanish team twice came from behind in Donetsk, with the key equaliser arriving deep into added time from Palop Shakhtar Donetsk had the advantage of two away goals after the last week’s first-leg draw in Spain. Even if Sevilla dominated the game, the deadlock was broken four minutes after the break by Shakhtar when Brazilian midfielder Matuzalem improvised brilliantly.The visitors replied within four minutes as Maresca scored after Daniel Alves’s centre with a header.They had it all to do once again after 84 minutes when Shakhtar scored for 2-1 up through substitute Elano strike. Alves delivered a corner in the last seconds and Palop completely unmarked scored for 2-2.After this goal Shakhtar players were unable to respond and in extrartime Uruguay forward Chevantón scored for 2-3 and break the hearts of Mircea Lucescu’s men.
