Karim Benzema is a young striker of which little is known outside France and he currently play for Olympique Lyonnais or as it is better known outside France, Olympique Lyon.

Humble in his statements and talented as a player he ha a great future ; experts in the field compare him with Zidane, (apart from the fact that his family is also from Algeria) as intelligence, control of the ball, game vison and the technique.

Karim Benzema began his career in the 2004-2005 season under the direction of Paul Le Guen. His first goal in an official match with the OL (Olympique Lyonnais) was in 2005 in a Champions League match against Rosenborg, which is also his first game in the highest continental competition.

In France, they say that this season must be to confirmation for Benzema and playing time will not be an obstacle for him as the head coach of Lyon, Alain Perrin appreciate him. Karim Benzema it is also a French international: has played 6 international matches and has scored 3 goals until now.

Benzema is now attracting the interests of some of the biggest clubs in Europe. There have been rumors linking Karim Benzema to giants like Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Liverpool or Arsenal.
