Kazakhstan claimed their first competitive win since joining UEFA, as goals from Kairat Ashirbekov and Nurbol Zhumaskaliyev put them on their way to a memorable Group A defeat of Serbia who finished with ten men.

Moldova needed a late equalizer to deny Malta what would have been an unprecedented second successive victory in Group C in rain swept Chisinau. Just five minutes remained when Alexandru Epureanu headed in from a corner to cancel out George Mallia’s opener in a match that both sides finished with ten men.
Group D Cyprus 1-3 Slovakia
Slovakia moved back into contention in qualifying Group D thanks to a second-half comeback against Cyprus in Nicosia.
Group C Norway 1-2 Bosnia-Herzegovina
Bosnia-Herzegovina boosted their chances of qualifying for Euro 2008 with a hard-fought victory over Norway in Oslo.
Group E Croatia 2-1 F.Y.R. Macedonia
Substitute Darijo Srna scored one and made another as Croatia came from behind to claim three points and stay top of Group E with a 2-1 win against ten-man F.Y.R. Macedonia.
