The Euro 2008 official ball was unveiled during the draw ceremony.The ball is produced by Adidas and named the Europass.It is a 14-panel ball in the same construction as the Teamgeist(official ball of World Coup 2006), but with a modified surface structure.

The ball’s new exterior construction allows players to control it perfectly in all weather conditions. The innovative PSC- Texture consists of a complicated and exceptionally fine structure on the ball’s outer membrane that guarantees finest grip between ball and soccer boot.

The name EUROPASS refer to the common Euro pass between the two host countries of Switzerland and Austria. The name also represents each pass the players will make on the field during Euro 2008.

Like Teamgeist, the adidas Europass ball is made out of 14 panels using avant-garde Thermal Bonding Technology. This technology combined with the PSC-Texture surface configuration gives the EUROPASS ball its perfect handling characteristics and give the players outstanding ball control.

The distinctive outer surface improves power transmission, generates better swerve and improve precision on the field. For the goalkeeper the ball provides a superior grip between glove and ball and considerably improves catching of the ball.
