Schalke 04 continue to be on top in the German Bundesliga but the 2-0 defeat with Bayern Munich on Saturday has raised the hopes of the chasing pack.

Schalke traveled at Munich with a three point advantage but goals from Roy Makaay and Hasan Salihamidzic ensured the points stayed in Munich. Schalke’s lead now stands at two points because Werder Bremen didn’t manage to take advantage of the defeat and made a goalless draw at Energie Cottbus.
Stuttgart are now just four points behind leaders Schalke and two behind Werder, while maintaining their two-point cushion over Bayern in a close battle at the top.
At the other end, there were crucial wins for Bochum and Hamburg on Sunday.
At this moment there are four teams that fight for the title with seven games until the end and the clash promise a superb final.
